CULT 101 CULTURE and SOCIETY

Course Description: This course is designed to provide all first-year university students with a critical perception and awareness about the sources of differences and inequality in the society and their consequences. The course focuses on areas such as, but not limited to, gender relations, race, racism and discrimination, social stratification, environmental degradation, migration and displacement, and varieties of human existence.


Course Requirements: This course is graded as Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory. In order to pass the course, students are required to watch at least 8 out of the 12 videos listed below before the end of the Fall 2017 semester (15 December 2017).
